Klevberget (Mariaberget)

    • förbjuden under perioden 1 januari-15 augusti

The crag’s real name is Klevberget, although local climbers often refer to it as Mariaberget. Since December 2006 the whole area is a nature reserve which affects the access in some ways. The following rules apply:

  • Ice climbing is allowed on the walls north of the path leading in to the reserve from the road to Hallstad ängar.
  • Climbing in the rest of the nature reserve is:
    • prohibited from January 1 until August 15
    • allowed on established routes during the rest of the year.

Cleaning of routes and placing of in situ protection (bolts, pegs etc) is NOT allowed in any part of the nature reerve.

Making fires is generally prohibited, with the following exception in the ice climbing area:

  • Fire making is only allowed from November through March.
  • No burning material, dead or alive, may be picked in the nature reserve, i.e. all wood must be brought from outside.
  • Only wood and charcoal may be used as fire material.

If the rules above are not followed, or if trash is left by climbers in the area, the exception from the fire making restrictions will cease.
